Sammy Watkins Back?

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins had a breakout game in Week 1 on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Watkins caught nine passes for 198 yards receiving and three touchdowns in a 40-26 victory.

Sammy Watkins was with Kansas City last season and he decided to come back. They are going to need him now more than ever because Tyreek Hill is expected to miss the next few weeks with a shoulder injury.

He had to go to the hospital because that injury caused chest trauma. Hill rushed for five yards on one carry and he caught two passes for 16 yards receiving.

The Chiefs will be fine at the wide receiver position with Sammy Watkins, Demarcus Robinson, and Mecole Hardman Jr. They also have the best tight in football in Travis Kelce. He caught three passes for 88 yards receiving.

Also, Watkins was draft fourth overall by the Buffalo Bills in 2014 out of the University of Clemson. He was supposed to be the best wide receiver in that class. However, if Sammy Watkins does live up to his college days, this Kansas City Chiefs offense might be impossible to stop.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes relied on him a lot in this game. Mahomes completed 25-of-33 passes for 378 yards and three touchdowns.

Watkins number will be called on a lot within the next few weeks and possibly the entire season. This is a tremendous start for Sammy Watkins in the 2019 season. Will see if this continues to occur or will opponents double team him.

The Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) will be at the Oakland Raiders next Sunday. The Jacksonville Jagaurs (0-1) will be at the Houston Texans next Sunday.
